Raw material processing and smelting


The raw materials are mainly scrap brass, electrolytic copper, zinc ingots, etc., which are melted at about 1100℃ in electric furnaces or industrial frequency furnaces. Some processes add slag removers to remove impurities.


Advanced enterprises such as Jintian Copper Industry adopt the "large-tonnage electric furnace smelting-submerged liquid transfer-multi-head multi-stream horizontal continuous casting" technology to directly use scrap copper, with high production efficiency (single furnace can continuously cast 64 products of different specifications), and equipped with dust removal system to reduce pollution.

Forming and processing


The molten copper liquid is formed into rods through continuous casting or traction machine. Some processes are combined with hot extrusion (such as 38MN reverse extruder) to improve density and surface quality.
