Production process and product advantages of C46400 copper wire:
Production process
The production process of C46400 copper wire mainly includes the following steps:
Pretreatment:
Preheating: Preheat the electrolytic copper plate (80~150℃), remove surface moisture, and use natural gas for heating.
Rough drawing and wire laying: The copper rod is laid out through the wire rack to prepare for subsequent processing.
Surface treatment:
Mechanical shelling to remove the oxide layer, followed by electrolytic pickling, cold water washing, hot water washing and other cleaning steps.
Boron coating treatment: Enhance the surface lubricity of the copper wire to facilitate subsequent wire drawing.
Wire drawing forming:
Multi-pass wire drawing process, gradually draw the copper rod into copper wire of the required diameter (single wire specification is usually 0.10-0.80mm).
Post-processing:
Lead plating: Lead plating is required in some processes to improve corrosion resistance.
Twisting and rope closing: Multiple strands of copper wire are twisted through a wire bundling machine, then formed by a rope closing machine, and finally inspected and packaged.
Product Advantages
Due to its unique composition (Cu 59-62%, Sn 0.5-1.0%, Zn balance) and process design, C46400 copper alloy has the following advantages:
Excellent corrosion resistance:
The addition of tin significantly improves the corrosion resistance to seawater, especially in high temperature or high salinity environments, and has strong resistance to dezincification.
Excellent mechanical properties:
Tensile strength can reach 380-600 MPa, yield strength 170-450 MPa, elongation 6-50%, with both high strength and good plasticity.
Outstanding fatigue resistance, wear resistance and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) resistance.
Excellent processing performance:
Excellent hot processing performance, suitable for forging, rolling, extrusion and other forming processes; annealing can also be used to optimize performance during cold processing.
Good welding performance, supporting a variety of connection methods such as soft soldering and silver soldering.
Electrical and thermal conductivity:
Thermal conductivity is 121 W/m·K, and the electrical conductivity is 26% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard), suitable for electrical systems and heat exchangers.
Wide range of applications:
Ship industry: key components such as propeller shafts, valves, condenser tubes, hull hardware, etc.
Aerospace and automotive: aircraft joints, bolts, nuts, automobile exhaust pipes, etc.
Electronics and energy: wires, cables, motor copper wires, etc., thanks to its electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance.
